Early Out and No School Notice

Carrollton Grade School Book Fair begins today, Monday, January 23 and runs through Thursday, January 26. It will be open during our Family STEM Night, Thursday 5:00-6:30.

This message is to inform parents and guardians that the Carrollton Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 27 due to inclement weather and poor rural road conditions. Please stay safe and warm.

Good afternoon. This message is to inform parents and guardians that the Carrollton Schools will be closed tomorrow on Monday, January 26. Please stay safe and warm.

All remaining games of the 103rd Winchester Invitational Tournament will be played at the Bluffs High School gym starting today, Thursday, January 15.

The Carrollton CUSD #1 Schools will be dismissing today at 1:00 PM due to inclement weather. There will be no after school activities or games this evening as well. Please stay safe and warm.

This year, CGS STEM program will be selling personalized 3D-printed Christmas ornaments as part of a fundraiser. Proceeds will directly support future STEM activities, including the purchase of additional filament and materials to continue our 3D printing projects. Students will be bringing home order forms this week.

Temporary Food Assistance
Carrollton Community School District #1 understands that delays in SNAP benefits may place additional stress on our families. If your family may need food assistance during this funding gap, please c complete the google form posted in family Skyward access requesting assistance. The White Hall Masonic Lodge has organized an effort to provide “take-home” meals for students affected by the SNAP interruption.

Parent Teacher Conferences

Carrollton High School teachers would like to invite and encourage all parents to attend parent/teacher conferences. These conferences provide an opportunity for us to connect as partners in your student’s education to discuss their progress, celebrate successes and address any areas of growth.

Parent teacher conference times are scheduled on the following dates/times:

Wednesday, October 8, 2025 2:30 PM - 7:00 PM
Thursday, October 9, 2025 2:30 PM - 7:00 PM

Please call the high school office at 217-942-6913 or email your student’s teacher(s) to schedule a date and time for your conference(s).

If you can not attend during these times, please contact the school office or your student’s teacher(s) to make an alternative arrangement.

A representative from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville will visit CHS on Tuesday, September 9th at 2:30 pm in the Cafeteria. Grab a pass from Dr. Geers to speak with the representative from SIUE.
